Mollie's turn #4

Don't worry i am still here! :) it feels like i have not blogged in forever! wow!
what did i leave off on? hmmm... lets see.. oh! the elephant :) since that amazing sighting of the elephant walking down the street while we were devouring a delicious plate of pancakes there have been many many more adventures as you may have heard about from Mr. Peter Barnes :) but he does not tell them in the awesome way that i do. (GO ME) :) hee hee i love blogging it is so fun!!! ok any way, we have had many more experiences since that that i really have to tell you about, the bus, bleh, fish that eat your feet, Angkor Wat (in the rain), our wonderful driver, griffins need for catching geckos -which he has been unable to do until this very night-, and many more. 
first, the bus ride. there was nothing special about the bus ride just that ugh it seemed like it took forever and the pit stop in the middle of the 6 hour drive, 6 hours!, was just hot and humid and to tell you the truth did not have the greatest smell :( but then we finally got to siem reap and it is beautiful! everyone is super nice and just trying to help, there is an awesome street that is called pub street where all the good restaurants are, all the tuk tuk drivers and all of the foot eating fish, too. as much as i liked the city i am very happy to be here in siem reap. 
the first day that we were here it was about 2 when we checked in and off we went to pub street. the first thing that we did was get something to eat. then we all went to get our feet eaten by the carnivorous fish. griffin and i went first. well griffin went first; i was afraid of putting my feet in a pool of fish that was making my brother cry. no, not due to pain but laughter. i am not really sure why i was so scared. i just was. eventually i got passed my fear and put my feet in the water. it tickled so much! afterward my feet were silky smooth :) once that fear was overcome. it started to pour outside! and when i mean pour i mean pour there were buckets of rain coming down on us! there was thunder and lightning, the whole shebang! mama had gone to bed so it was only me, peter, griffin, and connor. we had the best time out in the rain. we were all soaked. we took videos of the lightning. the flashes were so big that they lit up the whole sky! that night it was hard to sleep because every time that the lightning struck, it lit up our room. but we finally went to sleep. 
second day in siem reap we had a tour guide, Ponheary Ly, and met our awesome driver Mr. Hong. that day we went to Angkor Wat. the first half of the day we saw lots of temples in the same complex as Angkor Wat but none of them were actually Angkor Wat. which i found kind of funny but any way, there were amazing sculptures, and many cool stories that i will have to tell you when we get home because this blog is already long and it would be super long with all of the stories and history. all the temples that we saw the first half of the day were very cool but if was very hot. so in the middle of the day when it got its hottest we got to go back to the hotel with air conditioning. YAY. after that wonderful rest we went back to Angkor Wat and actually saw Angkor Wat! it was so cool and especially in the rain. there was like no body there so it was a if we owned the place! . oh i almost forgot to tell you about Mr. Hong! ok so as you know he is our driver and he is so cool. he used to be a monk, and he is really funny. the thing is that he is really shy so you kind of have to get to know him. he is funny in a quiet way if that makes any sense. also he has one of the best laughs ever!!! it is so funny. it is one of those laughs that when he laughs you can't help not laughing! he is the coolest driver ever!
third day siem reap.
the water fall. no doubt one of the coolest things i have ever done, no kidding! on a hot day in cambodia you are dreaming to jump in a nice cool pool, lake, or something like that. so we went to the waterfall. it was amazing! i'll have to give you all the details when we get home because this post is already long enough. i will prob post tomorrow fro some more info because my fingers are getting tired. :)
